The Pit of the Ant Lion

The commercial world like the natural world is an unforgiving place. It's not pretty. In order to survive and flourish, the most successful technology companies have evolved the means to attract and retain their customers.
What if instead of Monkeys at the bottom of the pit from my previous post, there is something more sinister? Something that digs a hole and waits for its prey to fall in to be eaten by monstrous jaws. Such an animal exists in the natural world, and it's called the ant lion. They are voracious predators and if an ant tries to climb out of the pit, the ant lion will throw sand or soil at it until if falls back in.
